Ms. Mia has been playing the violin for 16 years, beginning at the age of 5. As a versatile musician, Mia extends her repertoire beyond the violin, encompassing voice lessons and proficiency in percussion and the string bass. Her talent and dedication were exemplified when she graced the stage of Carnegie Hall in 8th grade, showcasing her prowess on both violin and string bass with her middle school band.
Originally from the enchanting landscapes of Oahu, Hawaii, Ms. Mia’s musical roots run deep. She grew up playing in the Hawaii Youth Symphony (HYS) and the All-State orchestra. The vibrant harmonies of the HYS summer music festivals provided her with invaluable experiences that shaped her into the wonderful musician she is today.
As a devoted educator, Mia shares her wealth of musical knowledge and expertise with aspiring students, instilling in them a love for music and nurturing their talents with patience and care. Her passion for teaching is evident in her commitment to guiding her students on their own musical journeys, empowering them to reach their fullest potential.
Beyond her role as a teacher, Mia finds joy in the art of chamber music. Additionally, she delights in sharing her music with audiences through live performances within the community. She currently pursuits her bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance at the University of North Texas.
Ms. Mia currently serves as a violin faculty member at Prime Music Institute.
