Dr. Katia Dinas, a classical musician and educator born in New York and raised in Greece, enjoys a multifaceted career as an educator, collaborative pianist, and performer both in the United States and internationally. She has performed at prestigious venues across North America and Europe, and her work has been featured on international television and broadcast on radio stations in New York and Michigan. She has also conducted scholarly research on 20th-century American piano literature during music residencies, including at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, where she presented through workshops and lecture recitals.
Dr. Dinas holds a Piano Diploma from the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, a Master’s in Musicology from Aristotle University, a Master’s in Piano Performance from Syracuse University, and a Doctorate in Piano Performance from Michigan State University. As a dedicated educator, she has taught piano and collaborated with music departments at Syracuse University, Michigan State University, the University of Michigan-Flint, the Flint School of Performing Arts, and the Prime Music Institute. Currently based in Dallas, Texas, she works as a Staff Collaborative Pianist at the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University.
Dr. Dinas currently serves as an Education Coordinator at Prime Music Institute.
